About the Archive

This site is something that had been in the back of my mind for quite some time now. As a child I was told of my ancestry and stories about the family through the years. Now as I get older and many dear relatives have passed on, I realize that unless I do something to document these people and events, they will vanish like grains of sand in the desert of time.

It's a time consuming endeavor. There are untold numbers of 35mm slides that need to be scanned as well the the volumes of black and white photographs to be rescued from the dusty old albums. Fortunately there's a lot of documentation to help give backround to many of the images.
